Samuel Barclay Beckett

Male : Playwright, novelist & writer. Nobel Prize 1969. Went to Paris to teach in the late twenties but gave it up when he realised he wasn't suited to teaching. Travelled in Germany and undertook psychotherapy in London before settling in Paris in 1937. Active in the Resistance. From 1946 he wrote in French
