Edmund Spenser

Male : Poet. Married Machabyas Chyld in 1579 (died 1591) and Elizabeth Boyle in 1594. Called the 'poet's poet'. Went to Ireland in 1580 and wrote much of his work there in Kilcolman Castle (Cork) which was burnt in an insurrection in 1598. Buried in Westminster Abbey
